I hope your new year is off to a good start and that 5780 proves to be a year of health, success, and connection throughout our Jewish community. As CJP looks to both support and enrich our community’s work for Jewish teens, we are excited to share the plans, opportunities, and vision for engagement in the coming year that we’ve outlined below.

Learning & Connection Calendar

Community of practice learning: Single-day opportunities and multiple-part learning series for anyone in our community working with Jewish teens.

Networking days: Coordinated seasonal lunch opportunities for organic connection among professionals who work in teen engagement.

Co-working: Facilitated co-working spaces in multiple locations throughout the community.

See our draft calendar, and please share your thoughts with me on topics and strategies that are important to you.

Professional Development

Stipends for professional development: Apply for growth opportunities offered locally or nationally, and receive up to $1,800—open to professionals working directly with teens.

Mentoring/coaching: One-on-one series for staff who are new to the field or at a point of professional transition.

There are several other areas where we are focusing our investment this year that your organization and teens in the community can access. We provide strategic grants aimed at building capacity and innovation among our community partners as well as providing support to families for Jewish Overnight Camping and Israel Teen Travel.

We look forward to sharing more information and engaging with you as partners to help shape, direct, and impact the lives of our Jewish teen community.
