How can you tell when a young person is dealing with normal adolescent angst or something more?

At this workshop for parents on the mental health of youth, you’ll learn about how youth experience and respond to stress, worries, anxiety, and other difficult emotions, and come away with tools for how to be an effective source of support. You’ll also hear directly from a young person about her personal experience with perfectionism and anxiety, how she hid her struggles from the adults in her life, and how she eventually developed healthy coping skills and built resilience.

There will be plenty of time for your questions. You’ll leave more empowered to support the youth in your life and come away with tangible skills and resources.

Following the event, you’ll have the opportunity to join a conversation circle led by JF&CS’s director of mental health for a deeper exploration of the workshop topic.
