Join CJP’s Teen Engagement Network to see Broadway in Boston’s “Jagged Little Pill.” Based on the music of Alanis Morissette, “Jagged Little Pill” has been described by the New York Times as a “big hearted musical that breaks the mold” and “the most woke musical since Hair.”
With the chaos and angst of teen life at the center of the story, we look forward to finding connections to the work we do.
5 p.m.: Pre-show program including dinner at CJP
7:30 p.m.: Show at Citizens Bank Opera House (15-minute walk from CJP)
Date TBD: Optional debrief opportunity at a suburban location
Who is invited?
We encourage teen professionals to attend with one or two colleagues to help take the learning back to your organization. We want to distribute tickets as fairly as possible and have a limited number of tickets, so we will limit organizational teams to three people maximum. If you have more than three people from your organization you wish to include, please email Leah at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will let you know if we have additional tickets.
About the show:
The Healys are a picture-perfect family, but looks can be deceiving. When the cracks beneath the surface begin to show, they must choose between maintaining the status quo or facing harsh truths about themselves, their community and the world around them. Featuring Morissette’s iconic songs, including “Ironic,” “You Oughta Know” and “Hand In My Pocket,” plus brand-new songs written for the show, “Jagged Little Pill” comes to the stage with music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Tom Kitt (“Next to Normal”) and choreography by Olivier Award winner and frequent Beyoncé collaborator Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.+ More... - Less...
