The Brookline Havurah Minyan is an egalitarian Jewish, creative, member-led worship community. We have gathered since 1980 to celebrate Shabbat, holidays, life cycle events, and special communal activities. We place a strong emphasis on community. As a volunteer-run group, members organize and lead all aspects of services and other events throughout the year. A volunteer va’ad assures continuity in the group’s affairs. We meet in members’ homes in Newton, Chestnut Hill, and Brookline for Shabbat and in rented space for the High Holidays and special occasions.
