How can we promote a healthier culture around sex and sexuality that empowers teens and educators?
This is one of many questions we will tackle during this one-day summit centered around hookup culture in Jewish teen spaces. Through presentations, breakout groups and discussion, we will explore this timely topic and delve into its complexities with experts in the field.
Highlights of the day:
- Keynote by Jennifer S. Hirsch, a medical anthropologist and professor of sociomedical sciences at Columbia University and the author of the groundbreaking work “Sexual Citizens: Sex, Power, and Assault on Campus.”
- JTEC (Jewish Teens for Empowered Consent) panel discussion
- Breakout sessions with Keshet and Moving Traditions (in-person) and Sacred Spaces (virtual)
- Presentation and discussion groups by professional grouping: camp professionals with Foundation for Jewish Camp, congregational/youth professionals with BBYO, day school professionals with Prizmah: Center for Jewish Day Schools.
