Run by the JCC, in partnership with CJP, the Jewish Teen Initiative – Boston (JTI) connects Jewish teens across Greater Boston to meaningful experiences and leadership opportunities. The Peer Leadership Fellows (PLF) program is a year-long fellowship that empowers teens to become peer leaders, strengthen community connections, and promote inclusion and wellness among their peers.
Fellows meet monthly for training in leadership, relational engagement, mental health awareness, and advocacy, and lead or support community projects in partnership with regional organizations and synagogues. Participants can focus on Peer Engagement, helping other teens connect to Jewish life, or Peer Wellness, promoting mental health awareness and reducing stigma.
Open to all Jewish teens in grades 10-12, regardless of synagogue membership or prior affiliation, the program fosters authentic relationships, leadership growth, and ongoing engagement in Jewish life. Fellows also receive a stipend in recognition of their leadership and contributions.
