Environmental Education Symposium

Did you know that it takes a head of lettuce 25 years to decompose in a landfill? Join us for our first Environmental Education Symposium as we explore the film "Wasted! The Story of Food Waste." Hear from a panel of experts, learn about the impact our food has on the environment and examine ways to consume food more sustainably.

Soup-er Sunday

Jewish Community Center of the North Shore, Marblehead
Now in its 11th consecutive year, Soup-er Sunday is a high-impact community event run through Jewish Teen Initiative Boston. Each year, on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, more than 100 teen and adult volunteers gather at the JCCNS to prepare homemade meals for families living at the Lynn Shelter Association. Together, we will make lasagna, soup and apple pie to share with families who are experiencing homelessness on the North Shore.

“The Last Dream”: Documentary Viewing and Discussion

Congregation Shalom, North Chelmsford
"The Last Dream" documents the stories and activism of children 9 to 17 years old whose parents have temporary protective status (TPS) in the United States but no path to citizenship. It is written and performed by their children, who are American citizens but whose parents could be deported to El Salvador by the end of this year.

BJEP Jewish Sunday School, an independent and vibrant Jewish learning community from kindergarten to grade 7, invites the community to celebrate Hanukkah with us and join BJEP's day of learning emphasizing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) projects.

Exciting Israel advocacy classes for Jewish teens in grades 11 and 12. Join us for the YouTube series, Israeli Phenomonology, as we dive into the fascinating world of Israeli music, culture and food!  Our guest speakers will keep it real and tell it like it is. Meetings will be held on Sundays from 6-8 pm.  A light dinner will be provided.  Attend any number of sessions you wish.  $100 stipend will be awarded to all teens that have perfect attendance.
