Graduating Swampscott senior Lila Caplan is running a virtual trivia night in support of Save a Child’s Heart.

When Lila visited Israel with her Dor L’Dor program two summers ago, she visited Save A Child’s Heart’s home, where children from developing countries in need of life-saving medical heart surgeries went to receive the medical care they needed.

The following summer, she returned by herself to volunteer with the organization and has since dedicated herself to raising $15,000, the cost needed to sponsor a child’s life-saving surgery and recovery.

As a Derek Sheckman Award recipient through the Jewish Teen Initiative of Greater Boston, Lila chose to center her community service project on the work of Save A Child’s Heart. To date, she has raised more than $9,000, and she needs our help to continue to meet her goal!
