The Jewish Learning Collaborative of Metrowest (JLCMW) welcomes all Jewish learners in grades pre-K to grade 7, regardless of denomination or affiliation.
Located in Wayland, the school comprises students from 13 local towns, including unaffiliated students and members of B’nai Torah MetroWest of Wayland, Congregation Or Atid of Wayland and Temple Beth Sholom of Framingham, as well as students from other local synagogues.
“We are proud to be a pluralistic school that welcomes any child (and family) that is curious about and wants to explore their Judaism,” shares Orna Sonnenschein, the school’s director and longtime Jewish educator. “We are committed to the well-being of children and their parents and to fostering a loving, nurturing and safe learning environment for everyone under our metaphorical tent. We devote intentional time to developing relationships among all our students, teachers, parents and the community around us.”
Through hands-on learning, students interact with a wide variety of Jewish content, providing a cohesive and holistic background on a wide range of Jewish ideas and practices that form our core curricular pillars: Community; Spirituality; Jewish Tradition, Practice & Prayer; Text Study & Jewish Values; Hebrew; and The Jewish People.
Our dedicated team of teachers, specialists in their field, are passionate about teaching all aspects of Judaism in an engaging, experiential learning environment designed to inspire our students.
