The class will be led in English and Russian.
Rolled date cookies:
Ingredients:
- 3½ cups flour
- 300 grams unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 bag vanilla sugar (or 1 Tbsp. sugar plus 1 tsp. vanilla extract )
- ½ cup water (room temperature)
Filling:
- 1 jar (450 grams) date spread
- 1 cup crumbled walnuts (optional)
Other options for filling:
- Sugar and cinnamon
- Any flavor preserve and almonds or walnuts
- Chocolate spread
- ½ tahini and ⅓ silan (will be halva-flavored)
- Homemade chocolate spread: 200 grams dark chocolate chips, 100 grams butter, ¼ cup sugar and ½ tsp. cinnamon (melt over low heat and cool to room temperature)
