The highly popular Kimama summer camps welcomed their first happy campers 13 years ago. A choice group of educators and youth guides, Israeli emissaries who had led summer camps in the United States, grasped the huge importance of an Israel-based encounter between young people from all over the world. And so they founded Kimama. That was the auspicious beginning.
In the years that passed, Camp Kimama has become a household name, a beloved and sought-after summer vacation experience. It has created a lively network of children and youth that is constantly growing, active all year round, with its heart and core in Israel.
Camp Kimama is a one-of-a-kind international summer camp held in Israel, with thousands of participants each year, aged 6-17, from 40 different countries around the world.
This is a unique experience in which you’ll encounter new cultures, languages and worlds; acquire knowledge and expertise in spheres that interest you; meet youth from Israel and from all over the world; and forge special friendships that will be with you for life! Activities at Camp Kimama are run in Hebrew and in English, and we have counselors from all over the world who can help with other languages, too.
Our camps combine the fun and highlights of many different spheres: tennis, basketball, soccer, surfing, windsurfing, diving, sailing, cooking, performing arts, visual arts, swimming and more. All of these are integrated in the educational activity, with an emphasis on values such as independence, leadership, personal development and empowerment.
We believe that every participant has talent and ability that may be developed. We’ll find your strengths and help you to express them. The camp employs only skilled, experienced counselors—some of whom have been with Kimama from its initial year—at a constant ratio of one guide for every five campers.
